Besides being healthy, these kale chips are absolutely delicious!
These are family tested and Mom approved!
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw my husband and son munching down on them and then asking for more!
If you’re like me and need to crunch on something late at night, than this is your perfect alternative to those greasy, fatty chips.
Here’s all that you’ll need:
~ 2 Bunches of Kale
~ 2 Tbsp of Olive Oil
~ Himalayan Sea Salt
~ Garlic powder (optional) We put that stuff on everything!!!
~ Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
~ Wash your kale and DRY very good. If there is water on the leave, they won’t crisp up.
~ I use a salad spinner to soak and spin off excess water, then pat dry with paper towels.
~ Remove stem and shred into 2 inch pieces.
~ Toss DRY leaves in bowl with olive oil. I find it works best to massage with your hands 🙂
~ Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lay some of the leaves on top in a single layer.
~ Don’t overcrowd, you don’t want them touching.
~ Make sure leaves are flat and not curled up or folded over…they won’t crisp!
~ Place in over for 10-12 minutes.
~ I like to flip 1/2 way.
~ Keep your eye on them so that they don’t burn. Each oven is different, so cooking times/ temps will vary.
~ Remove the chips from oven and sprinkle with salt or any other type of seasoning you like.
~ Place in fancy bowl and serve….ENJOY!!!
Have fun making your own version of these. Here are some suggestions:
~ Avocado oil
~ Cajun seasoning
~ Top lightly with finely shredded Parmesan cheese
~ Smoked Paprika
~ Chili Powder
~ Onion Powder
The possibilities are endless!!!
