I don’t know about you, but I don’t know one person that couldn’t benefit from this challenge.
I always start out the New Year with the best of intentions. We declutter the most frequently used areas in the house, put things in piles to get rid of or organize later….Then later never happens!
You can’t put anything away before you clear out a different section of the house, life happens, we get busy, the piles get bigger and now you’re left with more clutter than when you first started. Only now, it’s just in a different area of your home.
Congratulations…you have successfully MOVED your piles of clutter from one area of the house to the next!
Sound familiar? This has been a vicious cycle in our home. BUT…NOT ANYMORE!!!
Here’s how it works:
Click on the image below, download it and print it out. Then hang it where you can see it every single day!
Over the next 40 days, clean out areas of clutter, trash and junk from your home and LIFE!
You may want to list the areas first, then tackle them each day…or fly by the seat of your pants and see where the mood takes you each day. (This is so me!)
Some areas may include:
Kitchen, dining room table, junk draw, pantry, kitchen countertops, office, bedroom, bathroom, bathroom closets. linen closet, living room end tables, basement (ugh), playroom, garage, cars, toy bin, kids rooms, bedroom closet, cosmetics, under kitchen sink, etc….
Don’t overwhelm yourself! I like to choose an area, then set a time. Usually 15-30 minutes for during the week and 30-60 minutes for bigger projects on the weekends. You’ll have peace of mind knowing that you accomplished something and that you’ll be back tomorrow to finish it.
A little bit each day, will make a HUGE difference in 40 days from now.
